The sun was almost completely risen for the morning as Fiona entered into the town. She walked slowly, glancing at all of the buildings unsure of where to even go. She had her knapsack over her shoulder still as she continued to walk. Her anger still hadn't subsided causing her feet to pound into the pavement.
There was a two story building on the corner of the main road with a sign saying "King's Head Inn and Pub". She figured that would be a good place to sit and gather her thoughts. Her throat ached slightly as she thought of the prospect of humans being there, but she controlled herself. She had just fed twice the other night, why was she already yearning for blood again?
The place was small and smelled musty. She noticed the wood starting to rot slightly in the corners. There wasn't anyone in there yet and no waiter or waitress could be seen. However she did smell the presence of a human somewhere in the building or at least close by. Fiona sat at the rickety bar, flinging her bag onto the counter. She then sat down rigidly in the bar stool, her eyes darting around the room.

Holly was pulling a keg from the back room out to the front on a dolly when she heard the bell on the door. "I'll be right there!" She called out, figuring it was most likely one of the regulars. She couldn't sense anything evil nearby, so she figured that she would be safe. After a moment of struggling, she managed to get the door open and emerged from the back room to behind the bar.
"Oh hello." She smiled, "I'm Holly. You must be new around here, I don't think I've seen you before. I generally know everyone." More then most of them knew. "What can I do ya for?" She asked, pulling the dolly closer to the bar and lugging it into place, hooking it up. Holly pushed the dolly out of her way and walked over to the bar in front of the girl. Vampire. She could smell it on her, it was never a bad smell, often alluring, quite sweet this one was. "A Pint?" She couldn't help but smirk at her little joke, unsure if the girl would get it or not.

Fiona eyed the girl as she walked out from the back. She wasn't as prepared for human contact as she thought she would be. The chair squeaked as she leaned away from the girl, fighting with her blood lust. Her eyes closed momentarily as she struggled to gain control over her thirst. She looked at the girl, named Holly, quizzically as she asked her if she wanted a pint.
What should I say? Does she know what I am? Can I even consume human foods? The thoughts played through her mind rapidly. Fiona nodded at Holly's request. "Yes, I'll have one..." she said in an unsure tone. "And yes I'm new... in town. My name's Fiona." She tried her best to loosen herself up, awkwardly adjusting herself to appear more human like. She failed miserably.

"Well, welcome to Crocker then, Fiona." She smiled brightly, turning away to go into a ice chest, and pour her friend a pint..of blood. It was deer, but it was better then her trying to drink her own, she figured. A few of the resident vampires of Crocker had requested the special drink to make their transition into 'seeming human' make more sense. The glass was a tinted yellow so as to make it less noticeable when the liquid stuck to the sides. She put a straw in it and sat it on the counter in front of the girl, leaning against said counter, but off to the side. "What brings you here? A lot of people come here to get away. Is that what you're doing?" Holly asked, she didn't seem sad, it wasn't like with the other girl, the wolf, the one she saw in a vision when she passed her on the street.

Fiona changed drastically when the new scent entered her nose. It was blood. It had a different smell, but it was still blood. As the mug was set in front of her, all words that Holly said seemed to be lost. She threw herself at the cup gulping down the blood. A little bit dribbled from the corners of her mouth and she licked it away hungrily. Not able to control her instincts she jumped up from the chair, causing it to tumble over, and dropped the glass on the floor. Fiona stood hunched slightly clenching her fists, staring down the human. Suddenly she launched herself over the bar, diving towards Holly.

Holly threw her hands up in the direction of the vampire midair and for a split second she stopped. Her eyes widened and and Holly pushed her hands forward very quickly and let out a harsh exhale of the breath she hadn't been aware she was holding. The vampire shot backwards in the direction that she came and flew across the entire pub, stopping when she hit the back wall. Holly's breathing was heavy as she kept her hands still, ultimately holding her back, pinned there. She closed her eyes, trying to concentrate. "THIS IS NOT A PLACE FOR FEEDING FROM HUMANS!" Holly boomed, her voice louder then expected, most likely from the adrenaline rushing through her veins. She opened her eyes, staring at the girl, her eyes were angry, her nose flared as she breathed. "Are you a newborn? WHO IS YOUR SIRE?!" She yelled. Holly didn't even think of the fact that this poor girl might not even know. She might not even know what she was doing. Nevertheless, she stayed in her pose, granted her face had softened slightly, but she didn't let her go just yet.

The last thing Fiona remembered was bounding towards Holly, and now she was laying on the floor surrounded by debris. She was unharmed of course, just completely and utterly stunned. She heard Holly yelling at her and she tried to form an answer. "I don't know! I don't know!" she stuttered. "I couldn't help it. I'm sorry, I don't understand. I'm new to this lifestyle. And I don't know what a sire is or I would tell you who it was." Her words bumbled quickly from her mouth as she pulled herself to her feet. Fiona began dusting herself off with shaking hands, her body overcome by the extremes of emotions she felt. Her blood lust was forgotten for the most part, though she still felt some side effects. She was more disoriented than she should have been.

Holly lowered her hands and stuck them into her pockets, watching her dust herself off. "Well you can't just go into a place of business and decide you want to eat the help. It doesn't work that way." She grabbed some water for herself, drinking it, her throat was very dry from the heavy breathing. "Who turned you into a vampire?" She asked, grabbing the broom and dust pan as she approached the girl again to start cleaning up the bit of the mess. Holly had a feeling she wouldn't try and lunge at her again and if she did, she knew she could keep her away. She swept up the dust and glanced over at the girl. She dumped the debris into a nearby trash can and continued. "Crocker is special, there are many types of people here, some aren't all people though, but to keep the order, we do have rules just like any other town, one of them being you can't go around in people's businesses attacking them. Just know that there are people that can and will stop you."

Fiona looked at Holly strangely, backing away as she approached with the broom. She wanted to keep her distance just in case. "I couldn't really help myself. I said I was sorry. I wasn't planning on attacking you, you know. You put that blood in front of me and... I snapped," she said looking down at her feet and fiddling with her hands. "Tristan Ainsley changed me," she began in a hiss. Fiona didn't even want to think of him right now, even though that was the main reason she was at the pub in the first place. "And I told you it was an accident. You're completely fine... whatever you did."

"Hmm, I'm not sure I know Tristan." Holly shrugged, watching the girl. She continued cleaning up the mess, trying her best to make it look presentable. Once everything was done she went back over to the bar and washed her hands off behind it. "I have powers." She said simply, as if it was nothing. "I can see things, I can move things." Holly shrugged, drinking her water which had been sitting on the counter. "So what's your story? Why are you here?" She asked, sitting on a stool behind the counter. She had a feeling that other then this mornings events, it was going to be a long, boring day at the pub.

"You don't want to know him," she mumbled under her breath as she walked back over to the bar and having a seat. She listened curiously as Holly explained herself and talked about her strange powers. Before she was turned, Fiona knew nothing of fantastical beings or people of magic, and now here she was in a town surrounded by it. It was as if Fiona had been transported into a novel, only she wasn't the protagonist and she definitely wasn't getting her happy ending.
"I, uh, was just turned a few nights ago..." Fiona began cautiously. She wasn't so sure if she wanted to tell Holly about what happened. To be honest, she was almost tired of talking about it, because it normally ended up sour. Or perhaps maybe that was just her and Tristan who had that problem.

"Well, I'm sure you'll start to figure things out as you go along. Just try and be careful with things you do. I know it's hard to control the urges." Holly nodded, "I'm pretty much always here if you ever need anything, you just can't like..bite me." She chuckled lightly, "Are you still thirsty?" She asked, leaning against the counter. She somewhat sensed that the girl didn't want to talk about whatever it was that had happened to her, she didn't have to. "I'm sure that you'll be fine, despite the fact that you are going to live forever. There are a lot of people around here like you, so you're not alone at least." She said honestly, watching the girl.

"No, I don't think I'll go after you again. Even if I did, I'm sure you could hold me off," Fiona said plainly, resting her chin in her hands and leaning on the bar. "I guess I'll take another drink, though whatever kind of blood that is... it tastes disgusting. At least it will keep me satisfied, for now." Fiona waited patiently for her next drink, and gave a pessimistic chuckle at Holly's mention of 'living forever'. Perhaps another time she would tell Holly about how herself, just not right at that moment. "So how long have you been here?"

"It's deer." She said simply, pouring her another glass, again with a straw. "I've been here for..about a year now." Holly nodded, "I used to live in Salem, Massachusetts. A friend of mine told me that there was some trouble going on around here so I came up to see if I could be of any help. I finished up school and here I am." Holly sipped some water and sat on the edge of a stool. "It gets lonely sometimes, I think I scare people, but I'm trying to work on that. I think it's just because if they make a bad decision and it could hurt someone, I know ahead of time." She watched the girl curiously. "Do you have somewhere to stay?" Holly asked.

Fiona nodded along while cautiously sipping at her drink as Holly spoke. The disgusting tasting deer blood helped keep her at bay, though it was a tough battle. When Holly asked about her living arrangements, she looked down and began fiddling with the straw in her drink. "I'm staying with Tristan, the one who turned me," Fiona sighed. "Well, I'm not so sure anymore. We don't get along too well..." she trailed off angrily.
