Tristan left his apartment, not bothering to lock the door; he never locked the door. Anyone who was a true threat to him wouldn't be stopped by a locked door and he wasn't too terribly concerned about his material possessions anyway. He swiftly made his way down to the lake that was just outside of town. He needed to gather his thoughts and think about what had transpired over the past few days.
Fiona had left. After an hour or so of dead silence in the apartment and trying and failing at reading to keep himself busy, Tristan had made his way out into the living room to speak with Fiona. When he discovered she wasn't there he went to the spare room, only to find her and her things gone. Part of him was saddened and hurt that she had simply left without saying anything. Not that she really had any cause to, what was Tristan to her but the monster who had ruined her life? But still... it bothered him. Partly because he was worried about her. Where was she? Did she find somewhere to stay? How was she handling her newfound power? Was she feeding? Was she feeding on innocents? Was she keeping her secret hidden? Was she scared? Was she alone?
After waiting around for a full day with no sign of her, Tristan decided to go on a walk: to clear his head and to think about the situation and what (if anything) he should do about it.
He approached the lake and sat down, gazing out at the sill water, watching the sunset that was mirrored there.
