Who knew waitressing could be so difficult? As the night came to an end, Holly was wiping down the tables and tending to the last few customers at the bar, trying her best to get them to leave quickly. This was when she wished she had the power to move people and just place them outside of the pub. Instead, she could see the future, that didn't really come in handy when trying to remove patrons from the bar. Instead, she put on her charm and explained to them that they would be closing soon and that a storm was coming in. "You might not want to get caught in it." Holly said, leaning against the bar. They were regulars, one was a warlock, and hold, really horrible one, she didn't think he could do anything that magical. The other two, she didn't know their story, but then again, a lot of people in this town had secrets they didn't always like to share. With another few minutes of flirting and chatting they had left and she closed up, shutting down the lights as she put on her winter coat and stepped outside. She heard a crunch of snow and a twig snap across the street and glanced to see if anyone was lurking.

Clara wandered down the street, trying to remain hidden. She knew the pub was just about closing and if she was lucky, she might be able to scrounge up some food. She pulled her shabby jacket closer to her body as she walked. I really hope they have some left over bread or stew, she thought. Her stomach grumbled at the thought. It had been almost two days since she had eaten anything more than berries or water. True, she could eat as a wolf and hunt down a rabbit or something, but the thought disgusted her. She would rather be hungry for a few days than kill an animal with her own two hands... well, paws.
She saw the lights click off in the pub and started to sneak over. Suddenly she snapped on a twig, just as some one walked out of the pub.

Holly noticed a girl across the street and furrowed her eyebrows. She closed her eyes and touched her hand to her forehead, breathing out a sigh as she tried to foresee this girls future, try to figure out who she is. She hadn't seen her around Crocker before. A vision popped into her head and she winced as she often did, not quite used to the flash of pain. All she had seen was the girls face, much closer, much more detailed, sad, cold, hungry...and a wolf running in the snow. She was a shifter.
She crossed the street after glancing both ways and walked slowly towards the other girl, she didn't want to frighten her. "Are you lost?" Holly asked, sliding her hands into her pockets.

Clara jumped slightly as the girl spoke to her. She bit her lip, unsure of how to reply. She wasn't lost, not technically. She'd been wandering around the area for a few weeks and had finally stumbled upon this small town.
"N-no," she stuttered because of the chill. Most people didn't take kindly to her. She was a runaway, a bum, a noussance to them. They just assumed she was a lazy person who didn't care to work hard enough to success. "I-I'm fine..."

"You look cold." She couldn't be dangerous, or at least that dangerous. "Where are you from?" Holly thought she looked a little bit young to be wandering around by herself. She moved closer to her, "Do you need a ride somewhere? It's really cold, that jacket doesn't look that warm, you could get frostbite out here." A snow storm was blowing in tonight. Holly's face was friendly, she was still warm from being inside, but her nose was starting to get a little red and chilly.

Clara looked down awkwardly. She wasn't really from anywhere. Not any more. She didn't need a ride anywhere, she had nowhere to go. Yes she was cold, but thats what happens when you live on the streets, something she'd been doing for the past two years. But you get used to it. You have to. Besides, it was better then living with her father.
She decided to answer the basic question: where she was from. "New Jersey," Clara said. "I, uh, just got here a few days ago." She stuffed her hands in her pockets, trying to stay warm. She was seriously regretting the decision not to transform before heading in to the town. But she thought people would be suspicious of a wolf wandering around, and so had come in her human form.

Holly nodded, "New Jersey? That's a long way. Well..are you staying somewhere or visiting someone?" There was only a small hotel in town and she normally heard from the owner if anyone new came in. "Why don't you come to my car and at least get warm, you look freezing." She was a friendly person and this girl looked like she needed a friend right now, or at least a good samaritan. She unlocked her car, "Come on, get in." Holly started it up and revved the engine a few times before turning on the heat. It'd take a few minutes, but at least eventually it'd be warmer inside.

"N-no. I'm just passing through," Clara replied. She bit her lip, trying to decide what to do. The girl seemed nice enough, and a few minutes in a warm car would make her feel a lot better. "Okay..." she said, following following the girl to her car. She slid into the passenger seat and rubbed her hands together before placing them in front of the vents. It was cold at first, but eventually it got warmer.
"Thank you," Clara said, quickly glancing at the girl.

"Ohh okay, well you might as well get warm while you're passing through. Is there anywhere in particular you're headed?" Holly asked, glancing over at the other girl in her car. "Not a problem at all, you looked cold." She shrugged, running a hand through her own hair. "Aren't you a little young to just be wandering around by yourself?" She asked.

Clara continued to rub her hands, feeling warmer already. She didn't want to admit it, but she was really grateful to the girl for letting her warm up. She was feeling better already.
After a moment she turned to look at the girl, tucking a piece of hair behind her hair. "I'm eighteen," she said as she shrugged her shoulders.

"Eighteen." She nodded, she seemed harmless, she couldn't sense anything dangerous about her. "Do you have a place to stay? You could come and stay with me if you're just passing through?" Holly suggested, rubbing her hands together as well to get warm. Even though the car was heating up she was still trying to et her hands warm.

The thought of a house, with a bed sounded so inviting. It had been months since Clara had slept on anything more comfortable then a park bench. But she was nervous, what if she accidentally shifted in front of this girl? She could do it whenever she wanted, but sometimes when Clara got nervous or scared she would shift with out meaning too.
But a bed sounded so nice... and this girl seemed kind enough.
"I-I wouldn't want to impose," she said.
